Complete bare hulls from Tony Thresher
Tony Thresher is offering complete wooden hulls for owners to paint and fit out. This
will appeal to owners who already have good rigs and foils and want to update their hull as well
as people who want to get into the class with a new boat at a very reasonable price.
The photo shows GBR2133 (2nd, UK nationals 2009) under construction in Tony's workshop.
Prices and spec are as follows:
Complete bare wood OK hull ready for finishing and fitting built from Robbins Elite BS1088 marine ply.
SP 320 epoxy used throughout the construction for all bonding and coating of the inside of the buoyancy tanks and underside of the decks.
9mm bottom panel, stn 1 and 2 bulkheads, and case sides.
4mm chine panels, transom stn. 3 bulkhead and decks.
Western Red Cedar framing where necessary.
Bailer and hatch openings can be cut to customers requirements.
Customers own mast and deck rings can be incorporated in the build otherwise the hull will come with my own fixed position mast step and opening in deck to which my own nylon deck ring can be fitted.
Price £2460 incl. less 5% for orders of 2 or more at a time.
Terms 35% deposit with order and balance paid on or before collection.
