GBR 46 / 2162 – PRICE NOW REDUCED TO SELL

With a heavy heart, I’m offering GBR 46 / 2162 for sale. I absolutely love sailing this boat but finally must accept that at 70kg I’m far too lightweight.

Originally built for Jim Hunt, the boat is in very original and fully functioning condition, including the excellent original rigging and Harken fit out. It has cosmetic ageing and a few scratches as to be expected after more than a decade of racing and a couple of minor digs in the bow and chine (filled and faired), but nothing that’s going to slow you down.

– Ceilidh mast (assumed not to be J Hunt’s) to suit c85kgs helm (bend fore-aft 0 37 61 74 80 74 60 36 0 tip 527, Sideways 0 23 41 55 61 61 52 33 0 Tip 235) with old style halyard hooking into cleat at top of mast.
– Original aluminium boom
– 1x M19 North Sail (3-4/10) perfect for club racing (short section of separation of sailcloth around bolt rope at the head of the sail, no distortion of the sail while hoisted, works fine).
– Fixed rudder
– Launching trolley
– Excellent low-mileage road base purchased by previous owner
– Top and bottom covers, padded rudder bag and mast bag.
– Original RYA measurement certificate, not measured since to my knowledge. Original corrector weights in place on hull.

A great starter boat for entering the class. Buy a new sail to match your weight and this boat will be fast.
