Hi Alan
Your weight and height are ideal for an OK, and it doesn’t matter what boat you decide to sail, if you are inexperienced then the chances are that for the first year or two you will get free swimming included with whatever boat you decide to buy. I would suggest that if you have only seen a picture of an OK that it is worth driving to Northampton on 1st or 2nd october as ther will be plenty of OK’s and sailors there to give you advice and show you there boats. You would also be very welcome to stay on the Saturday night and have a few beers.
