Maybe premature for me to comment as I haven’t even got 2017 on the water yet , but I have to second the recommendation on the Frank Bethwaite book. The kinetics chapter is well worth a read, in particular the subtle impulse technique he describes seems effective when running with my Merlin, so will have to see if it works for the OK.
