Why therefore do Super Spar not make Carbon Spars for OK’s? Am I correct in saying Proctor do? But why does no one use them? What is so special about C-Tech mast and why do us UK OK sailors have to be so reliant on imports for something that quite frankly can be manufactured her in the UK. All very simple technology really. I just cant believe we are relying on importing this product from Holland or NZ, no wonder they charge such shocking prices…….amazing.
Same applies to the manufacture of OK’s. I was stunned when I read on one thread the class has just managed to get a UK boat builder to produce FRP moulds having once again been so reliant on importing from NZ. Madness!!!!!
