It is possible to completely rework an ancient OK and do well in it. David Hoogenboom in NZ restored a 1969 boat and scored a top 20 at the World Championships in 2014. I believe it’s still going strong today and I’m told it will be at the 2019 Worlds in NZ. There are a couple of pics of it on the UK OK Facebook page if you can get to that – was posted on April 27th, but cant seem to copy a link to it.
