Well…he mangaed to run into me amidship on the windward mark pushing me around through the wind and getting his mainsheet around the end of my boom – I think – I was down in the cockpit trying to avoid being pushed overboard, one loud crack and it was all flying in the wind. Anyway he is paying to have the damage put right. Yes I take your point about bringing it up on the foredeck, I had thought just to take it forward about 75mm close to the bulkhead and keep at roughly the same hieght. Any way I’ll have the repairer look at that as an option.
