Reply To: Look OK’s on ebay 2049 and 1885
Sounds good but i just don’t understand why people don’t put these boats on the website because that is what gets younger people into OK’s (the low price for a farley completive boat). I mean, i came into OK’s because Andy was selling 1586 for a relatively low price at my home club and at the time £400 was all that i could afford but when I think of all the Hours of Sailing i have had out of her so far she was well worth every pennie and more. The oblivious factor that concerns every youth sailor is the cost of the boat and well i find that you could buy a laser for £1500 which is in good nick but then you look at an OK for the same price and you can get so much more for your money (and after buying a laser myself you are sooner to realise that the OK is soooo much better) But if 2049 is under 1000 on eBay that is a truly fantastic buy. Because just look at what you are getting. But as i have said i will probably only bid on 2049 if she is going cheaply.
