firstly, to answer the first post, the agenda was posted to the secretaries within the time limit. Some late proposals came in and they were emailed to the national secretaries within the time limit, but I was unable to update the actual agenda online because I am coaching Nick in Hungary (expletive from nick!) and it must be working as he’s 4th! (for now!)
Nick says, kevlar sails are more expensive, they shrink in UV, and have a short life span, but they do look good, so it’s a trade off…but the OK stands for low cost quality sailing so is it the right thing at the moment?
Danish studies show that OK sails made of Kevlar would need full length top battens, or they will be useless way sooner than dacron sails. So if we go Kelvar it either means lots of expense or big changes to the rules.
