Its is fairly commonly thought that the Hoare shape is more suitable for a heavier helm, but a much more important factor is having the correct rig and sail to suit your weight, having never owned a Hoare boat then I am sure there are people out there in a better position to comment. Personally I would recommend that somebody snaps up 1998 ASAP.
