Go and find that wooden boat, you won’t be disappointed in the OK. It is the best singlehander in the World, but I would say that!!
Largs is definately looking like it might happen! Andy Turner (Seccretary) and I, visited the SSI a couple of weeks ago and were very impressed. We are just waiting for costs from them, so we will see.
We are actively trying to build the class again in the North of England and a keen to continue north into Scotland as there used to be many OKs up there. Part of the reason for approaching Largs was to raise the profile of the class in Scotland again. Worldwide numbers are growing again, which is encouraging. We have juniors coming into the class in numbers as well. So the future looks great.
Any ideas as to how we can do more to raise the profile in Scotland?
