Andy did turn up but got roped into being OOD so we could all go sailing.
Race 3: wind 3-4, sunny, cold. Only Robert and Dan out again. Both neck and neck until Dan was capsized on a big shift and got a mouthful of boom. He trailed around in a daze while Robert couldn’t quite get enough time on the Solo to win. Robert second, Dan 6th.
Race 4: Again neck and neck between Robert and Dan for first few laps then Dan tacks into nothing after negotiating a 60 degree shift and sits there muttering while Robert sails away to a sizable lead. Dan closed in on last downwind and nearly passed Robert at the finish after finding a large shift near the shore. Robert wins by a second. Both beat the Solo by 10 seconds.
Hopefully more boats out this weekend?
