My fellow helms have forgotten me. I am not sure where you are in Southampton, but I sail at Calshot S.C. – admittedly the OK fleet there is low – just me ! But at least it is local, and you could make it 2. If you want a trial sail, then contact me through the Calshot web site, (under “Contact Us”). I do go to the OK Opens, with my “Vintage” boat, sail No 1927, but Andy is correct in saying you should aim for a £1,500 to £2,000 to be really competitive.
