Reply To: Cleats/control-lines (what size?)
By far the cheapest are Clamcleats (Junior). In the Northampton sailboats catalogue the plastic ones (70-0203) are £2.33 and the metal ones (70-0211) £5.80. Nick uses these so they must be good.
There is currently a tendancy towards thinner control lines at the moment which cut into your hands when you pull on them but there is less friction round the blocks. Personally I prefer them a bit thicker and fluffy, more comfortable, more friction but they catch better in the cleats.
