Sorry Tony, but I don’t think they even come close: The Europe has a much lower aspect ratio sail than the OK so given it’s a smaller sail, i think the mast is going to be way short. There isn’t any reason why you can’t go fast with your current mast. In this pic:
Dave Evans (1900) went really well in last year’s nationals at Christchurch, blue top needlespar, 1970s boat, good helm! You can see that all the boats around him have plastic masts but it isn’t making much difference!
