As I think I mentioned before, the British Wayfarer fleet made the 2011 version of the DLR their UK Championships this year, running British and Irish championships in the same event.
Naturally enough, while many people in the fleet fancied the idea of going to Ireland, there were also some concerns about the location, transport, accomodation, costs, etc.
I trawled across the UK Wayfarer class association and gathered some links that (I think) show how the main concerns were addressed and how things turned out for them.

All in all it looks as if the event was regarded as a great success. Discount ferries were organized and suitable accomodation was sorted.
Again, no urgency on planning. However, it looks as if there’s a tonne of good learning available to help make an OK DInghy presence at the 2013 DLR both easy to organize and really fun.
