You make a very good point about how far you can take the weight rules. From what you are saying may be the issue is how you enforce the rules not whether you have an additonal weight rule.
It would be interesting from a Data only point of view to know the total sailing weight of top boats from the Nationals or World Championships. It would be very informative for those sailors who are interested in Boat Building.
Once I have finished replacing the bottom of my boat in a couple of weeks time, I will be weighting it to see exactly how much it now weights. It originally weighted 72.03g but after all the work I have done I think it will have increased slightly. Once I have completed this I may have a go at building some Floor Boards (Yes I really am that over weight!).
It you can think of any other points I should be aware of regarding the rules which could help me in completing the replacement of the bottom of my boat then I would be very interested to hear from you.
