Not much to report this week due to a distinct lack of wind. Andy had the best start in race 1 since he was actually on the water when the 5 min gun went and everyone else was scrambling to launch. Tim decided to sit in the safety boat as it was sunny. Paul Constable threatened Andy during lap 1 but then had to resort to defensive tactics with Lee Child on his transom. Dan was back from paternity leave and struggling to make contact. At the finish Andy won with Lee just getting past Paul on the run to the finish with Dan in 4th.

Race 1: 1st Andy Turner; 2nd Lee Child; 3rd Paul Constable; 4th Dan Ager.

For race 2 the start situation was reversed with Andy in a flat patch at the wrong end of the line and Dan first to the windward mark, closely followed by Paul. Rather embarrassingly we all kept getting overtaken on the beats by a Firefly. Paul managed to get into the lead on round 2 and appeared to be home and dry until just before the finishing line when he stopped and Dan carried on moving to take first place. Andy was well back in third, still fighting the Firefly! Lee had already decided that there were better things to do than stare at the water to see if we were actually moving.

Race 2: 1st Dan Ager; 2nd Paul Constable; 3rd Andy Turner
