Reply To: Alton Water forst bite race report.
Sailing was good today against some other well sailed boats. The wind was surprisingly light considering the forecast. The course was good with decent beats and a mix of runs and reaches and you didn’t need to hug a shore. There’s definitely a great opportunity to showcase the OK to a large number of sailors at Alton Water. There were quite a few on shore watching who are keen on the OK so we’ll try to do a “try an OK” session at some point soon.
Deaves put in an appearance this morning without boat saying something about a severe bout of hypochondria. No excuses next week! Dan should be sailing next week which means I need to find a boat whilst the new ship is being painted.
There are a couple of WSC sailors looking to sail over the winter so if anyone has a boat they are prepared to loan for a few weeks let me know. I might even help with a bit of TLC in the workshop.
