Dave Bourne had a blinder, not surprising seeing as he was cheating during the week, practicing on Tuesday and Wednesday on the Crouch. Poor form. Apparently Bob did some damage to his boat in the process. Three OK fleet wins for him. Three lucky seconds for me and Simon Davis had three thirds but was unlucky not to pip me in the photo finish third race. Will Branton was enjoying sailing Dan’s boat but wasn’t thinking clearly for the first race black flag. It’s looking good for next weekend. Dan should be back. Rumour has it Fish will make an appearance in a refinished 2151 and everyone else should be back. So that should be 9 boats by my reckoning.
We’re going to try and book the pub for next weekend after racing. Will let people know when we’ve been successful.
