I’ve only sailed against one Solo ever so it’s hard to comment, plus the Solo sailor is really rather good. But if I compare 2011 to now…then a Laser was 1082 and an OK was 1109. That’s a 27 point difference. Now we’re at a 12 point difference. And a Laser is just faster than an OK on a downwind reach in any conditions I’ve sailed in.
I notice too that a Laser Radial is up 5 points to 1122. That’s pretty radical. That’s up from 1104 in 2010, I think.
