Reply To: Rudder retaining clip?
Shock cord would be useless as any stretching and the rudder comes off. I used a stainless steel clip for years which worked fine but leaves two small screw holes in your transom. I now use a piece of cord attached to the top pintle which I tie over the top of the tiller. Virtually everyone now uses this system.
