Following on from my previous Posts, I thought I had better put my money where my mouth is and start building an OK. (only about 14600 days after I originally bought the plans).
A weeks work with a Router, three sheets of 18mm ply and some softwood battens for £100 has seen the jig virtually completed. I was pleasantly surprised how accurately I could cut the desired shapes using the router with a pattern follower and battens screwed or clamped to the jig plywood.
Shape wise it is (proabably) nothing special at the moment, still working on it. I have been trying to attach a Photo in the hope of getting useful fedback from experienced members but no matter how small I make the images (150kb?) I keep getting the error message ‘file to large.’ I have put a couple on my facebook page as ‘public’ which should be findable by searching for ‘Building an International Ok Dinghy’ and/or ‘Hoppetosse, otherwise anyone interested can PM me.
