Heavy fittings purely for adding centered weight are clearly illegal.
Hull construction:
My old boat was built in Denmark in 1969, it uses 4mm ply for the transom, station 1 and station 3 bulkheads, it uses 9mm ply for station 2 and had a 9mm centerboard trunk since repaired with a 6mm trunk.
