Reply To: Worlds 2016
Ok here is the current situation, the club has a championships the week before our Worlds. The class is the Bic. It seems they may have as many as 140 boats. They will be camping and using the hostel. They will still be sailing if we arrive early and most likely they will not be leaving until the end of the weekend we start. So basically we cross over. It seems this is the reason we have had no replies to booking camping space or hostel space. In short the place may booked up.
You will notice on the Notice of Race the information from the club informs us to contact the Tourism office for accommodation details, it does not mention the clubs facility. However please check for yourselves. I just wanted to give you the heads up if you are waiting for a reply from the club.

Robert Deaves acting OKDIA secretary is now aware of the situation and is looking into it. Not sure what he can do but hey ho.
I have now booked a hotel, shame I was looking forward to camping again.
