Hiya Andy,
No need to steam the ply, it’ll take up the bend no problem. If I were you, I’d use 4mm ply as 6 is far too much for decking. You’ll also save a bit of weight. Just be sure to check the curve of your deck beams with a long batten to ensure you have a fair curve.
