Barbeque 18th October

Hi all,

I’ve spoken to Bill today and we still don’t have many names for the Barbeque on Saturday 18th October after the Junior Championships at South Staffs.

“Barbecue to start about 18:00 Hrs cost £5.00 per person.

First Barrel of Beer free – we would like contributions to the South Staffs Junior Fleet.”

I’ve picked up the names from the other thread (Burt, Adam, and Emma), a couple of people have emailed Bill direct, but I’m sure there are more.

To concentrate the mind, it may help you to know that I’m shopping for puddings on Wednesday afternoon, and I won’t be able to check this thread after Tuesday night. They’ll be delicious, but I’m concerned whether there will be enough to go around.

So for the last time, ARE THERE ANY MORE TAKERS? You can post here, or email Bill, but if you email Bill the cut-off time for him to get the info to me is probably Tuesday lunchtime. Please don’t assume that if you’ve said you’re coming to the event that we will have your name down for the barbeque, because we don’t know if you’re planning to disappear elsewhere, let us know.

I (Sam Woods) and my Dad Tony Woods will be attending the barbecue, I will be sailing both Saturday and Sunday and my Dad will be sailing Sunday. My Dad says his boat is now going spare if required for the Saturday. Please pass on news. Sam Woods.

Hey Sam, tell your dad that if he isn’t sailing on Saturday he can bring his snorkel and do a bit of dredging. The South Staffs lot are complaining they keep going aground on his car keys!

Sorry but i will not be able to attend the open/ championships as i have not got any form of transport and i am needed to manage the warehouse at work on saturday. Sorry i could not answer your call the other day Mike i was very busy trying to sort out my broken Mini will someone be able to take my trophys up there for me ????? (from colchester Essex)
i would be able to drop them off localy if needed.

Really sorry you aren’t coming: we’ll miss you.
if Andy can bring the trophies to Overy (dunno if he’s in Essex right now: he was when I spoke to him on Sunday) I can pick them up from him and take them to South Staffs. Doesn’t look as if anyone else from this end is going.

dave i will have a chat with andy via e-mail, i have got the junior nat champ trophy and the cadet national champ trophy (silver dish like thingy) i would believe they will be needed.

Also I should add that i won’t be OK sailing for a wile now as the Navy are Very Persistent about making me sail Lasers :roll: needs must though, If i am in the UK at the time of the Nationals Next Year i will try and make it.

they are aren’t they how old is yours i have a very nice one which i am taking to south staffs and why lasers there just awful boats except when it is really windy.

i am up for this event looks like it may possibly be force 3 to 4 i hope anyway i built this fat up for the winter typical really. see you7 all there.
