      Hi all,

I’m getting ready to get my hull weighed next week and have taken the laminated centreboard out, it weighs 5.3 kg, how does compare to synergy marine / idol composite / Milanese centreboards ?

I think from memory, 4 kilo is about the average weight. It might just be a tad lighter. But work on 4.

I think, when we weighed a lot of c/bs at Largs, the general norm seemed to be about 4 – 4.5k.
5 is quite heavy – I have made mine to 3.3k – this is light for a sheathed wood model but foam cored can be lighter – but they can also be delicate at that weight.
