I’m done, boat’s off to Burghfield tomorrow for a trial sail so I thought I’d give you all a before and after photo before I do the write up.

Will let you know if I sink!!

Success!!! All works as it should, doesn’t leak, didn’t sink (or go over!) and the boat drew some admiring glances. Thanks to Alex and Jim for the spray job and the sail.

To top my day off……..I beat burt in the first race at Burghfield, don’t get no better than that!!!!

Arrival of the anticipated Demo boat at Burghfield.

Firstly a massive big thanks to all those involved in getting this project to a fantastic end product. Dave has spent many many hours rebuilding the boat. He can’t wait to start the next one, only joking Dave. Words just can’t describe the gratitude Dave deserves for his efforts. Well done mate.

I took the opportunity in sailing the Demo boat this afternoon, couldn’t repeat Dave’s efforts in beating Burt, but I was very impressed with its performance, I think I was just as quick if not quicker than my own boat. So yes we do have a very competitive boat, and with the mast set very upright nobody be complaining about a low boom. You can almost stand up when tacking.

My task now is to ensure the boat is used regularly in the coming weeks.
