Not even hull only, really, in one case. One looks like a Seamark Nunn, the other one unknown. I was considering rescuing one to have as a loaner boat – for people to try out and to encourage OK Dinghy sailing here. Does anyone know anything about either boat? The deckless one looks like an old boat too…since it doesn’t have a forward bulkhead. Would it be a waste of time to try to rescue these for the purpose intended? Any thoughts?
looking at the first one, it could be an o’donnel judging by the shape of the sidedecks. pretty sure they’re the same as on 1933 that I used to have many moons ago. they used to have full length stringers that soaked up water with age, I know mine was ridiculously heavy, approx. 85kg
The red boat is a Seamark Nunn, for sure – you can see the moulded-in texture on the decks. It’s also on the Boats for Sale page here, so you can give Jeremy Deacon a ring and get the full spec, if you think it might suit. I think a Seamark Nunn could be a good choice for your purpose – they aren’t considered a ball of fire but they’re pretty tough and easy to maintain.
