Is there wind at the lake, or is it likely to be a very light wind event?

So here is a link to a blog spot from an extremely good judge. If it comes up saying the blog doesn’t exist you will find it on the right hand side of the page under popular posts in the last few days.
It is from what I know at least a fairly common point of view from the judges side.

I still think they should earn their keep though.

Sorry to be sowing confusion but Mary has told me that entries and payment for the Europeans are via the website as it is an open event. You do NOT have to send me any entry forms or pay into the IOKDBCA account.

200 Euro entries by the end of May.

That’s a shame. I think we will each now incur a bank transaction fee, somewhere in the region of £25. Maybe we can collectively collect the money of those attending and make one payment. Maybe we could still use the OK account ? Thoughts Please.

I’ll sort it out with Paul Pike – as Ken says we don’t want to incur a SWIFT transfer fee of £25 each. Neither do we all want to pay a 30 Euro late entry fee. Watch this space.

Right – we’re sorted. The Class Association will do one bank transfer for all the GBR entries, thereby saving us individually about £25 SWIFT transfer fee.

To take part you need to transfer £180 into the Class Association bank account, suitably tagged (Richard) so we can see who has paid. Sort code 30-91-59 Account number 01021068

You must do this by May 24th at the latest so that Paul has time to visit the bank and do the transfer before the May 31st deadline.

If you miss the deadline you are on your own in terms of paying the entry fee (and a late entry fee of 60 Euros.

We have five entry fees of £180 paid into the Association bank account so far from Jim Hunt, Finn, Ken Carroll, Keith Byers, and yours truly (not of the Yard for those of a certain age).

To enter you need to register on the German website, Jim and Keith paid but not entered, and if you want to save on bank charges I am planning to make a bulk entry on Tuesday 27 May for all payments received of £180.

Gavin, Will and Andy Turner, Bob Bourne, have all expressed interest but have yet to register or make a transfer to the Association bank account. I presume that someone from Germany will be monitoring our website to gauge interest, so who else is up for it?

Is it too much for Hopalong Burt?

Thanks for the reminder Paul. I thought both Will and I had registered on the German website but i’ll check. I’m transferring 2 x £180 to the IOKDBCA account today.

Si, for a boat designer I am very worried about your understanding of the concept of displacement!!!
