NZL558/GBR2084 Reluctant sale of well sorted and competitive boat that’s ready to race right down to the included tack tick micro compass.
Dave Rose built in full ply/foam/ply laminate construction, down to weight and the subject of much attention over the last year. A well proven shape with her sistership finishing 10th at the 2015 worlds. I’ve even managed to win a couple of races at opens, so the boat must be quick!
Full trailing gear: combi trailer with recently renewed suspension units and wheels including 2 unused spares. Lightboard and excellent condition under cover. 6 month old breathable mast up top cover. Ratchet strap, so all you need is to add a number plate and you are ready to hit the circuit.
Fully fitted out with Harken fittings in 2015, all blocks, cleats, traveller tack and traveller car replaced. Tapered dynema control lines, Zhik grip 2 hiking straps, carbon deck bearing, Idol carbon boomerang. 2 sets of foils, rudder with lifting carbon tiller and carbon tiller extension. Beta (Bill Bradburn built) centreboard. Both faired and re-finished, flatted and polished this winter. Spare rudder with ally tiller and carbon extension in very good condition. Spare centreboard is OK but could do with re-finishing.
Over the winter the hull paint was touched up and the entire hull flatted and polished. The varnish on the deck was also touched up, cockpit repainted and re-gripped. The side decks where replaced in early 2015 with flat decks and carbon extenders more suited to straight legged hiking.
2014 high modulus Aardspars mast suitable for approx 90kg helm. New black boom with Idol carbon kicker lever.
3 Turtle sails. 1 is a couple of years old but still usable for club racing and when it’s blowing. 2 is in very good condition and suitable for opens etc. And the 3rd is brand new.
So, a well sorted, competitive boat with all the right bits, ready to go.
