looking for a boat for the winter series

Does anyone have or know of a raceworthy boat for sale up to £800, preferably with at least cover and trolley, for the coming winter series?
I have a Hornet which I sail during the summer but last year I thought I’d rediscover the delights of frosbite sailing.
Wanting a single-hander I bought a Solo which was fine in the strong winds but with my 90+Kg lacked a challenge in less, so I was advised by Jim Hunt who, as you all know has won in both, that the OK might be more demanding.
I would really prefer a wooden hull (I’m a traditionalist)or at least composite, but with no maintenance needed until at least next year, and a reasonably competitive rig (tin pin is fine) just to learn the idiosyncracies but I also hope that the similarity of hull shape with the Hornet may make learning easier!
I’m happy to travel a reasonable distance from base in the Southend (Essex) area, trusting the owner’s assessment so I don’t have to travel twice.
I presume the nearest winter fleet would be Ardleigh – could anyone give me winter membership prices or the contact details of the right person?

The winter series starts mid October. Details should be on the Ardleigh SC website. If you want to see some OKs in action and test how far it is to Ardleigh we have an OK Open meeting there this coming Saturday (13th).
