I have sent a fairly in-accurate report in to Y+Y and Dave at OK Dinghy. I hope I’ve done the right thing but thought we should shout about the opportunity of ‘going on tour’ with OK Dinghies.
Another reason to shout for those that aren’t aware was that in a strong fleet of 49 boats at Medemblik Jim Hunt managed to win 5 out of 6 races winning the event comfortably. Well done Jim. Fantastic effort and I’m so pleased that all my coaching at Blithfield this winter is starting to pay off.
We had Lee sailing brilliantly in 7th.
And despite deputising for the absent Burt in the bar, Dave Bourne managed 8th. We all raise a fist to you Dave!
As always a great event and enjoyed by all the Brits. Fantastic waves on the Friday. The louder you scream the faster you go!Top place and great company! It left a lot of people including myself wanting more practice on the sea!
Strange seeing as it tasted of fresh water out there !

If you go on the Dutch website you can find the results for the last 20 years and you are right for a change Dave you haven’t been before

Its quite interesting looking through the old Medemblik results – it makes me feel rather old. I don’t think that 1994 was the first Spring cup though, i rekon it was 92. No doubt Robert will be able to confirm.
Quite an achievement that this years event was the biggest turnout so far for the event. Great report from Tony in Y&Y.
