Just to let you all know that this years Morecambe and Heysham open event is being held over next weekend 17/18 September. The event is incorporating the Blaze Northern Championships and we’ll be offering fleet prizes for any class of 4 or more boats. So for those northerly based OK sailors we’d love to see you (the offer of a bed or floor space at the Byers residence is also on offer!).
The clubhouse will be open from 9.00am on Saturday for registration and the obligatory bacon buttie. 4 races planned including a cross bay long distance. Frist race on Saturday at 12.45. Entry is £20.00 single hander/£25.00 for double handed boats, to include ticket(s) for the Curry and Quiz night starting at 7.30 pm (£6.00 for none sailors). We’ve managed to get some sponsorship so there’s a £100 pot of cash for prize money.
