Moving traveller position

I keep damaging my legs hiking on the traveller, and having read the article on modifing an older ok have come to the conclusion that my traveller is miles to far back, has anyone got any tip on how to resecure the traveller to the centre board case ? I have a composite ok so its not as easy as ith a wooden boat. Also what do i have to look out for when moving the traveller (am i going to break any rules) obviously its going to be higher of the cockpit floor. Has anyon got any pics of the mod.?

Hi Russel,
There are no rules regarding the traveller position, so you have no worries on that score. Ideally the traveller has 3-4 inches bend both down & forwards. If you bend the track, you may be able to use the existing mounting on the centreboard case & still have the outer ends sufficiently far forward. Otherwise cut out a piece of 3/4 ply or mahogany, cut a notch out for the case & epoxy fillet it on to the existing case, like a saddle. You can then screw or bolt the traveller bar down to it.
