Well, in 1974 I did my first Osprey Nationals the year David was born. I have just completed, most likely, my last ever Osprey Nationals sailing with David. I last sailed the Osprey back in 2004 with my son Steven. We had a great time in Poole and we certainly caught up with old friends. Old being the Operative word. We sailed a borrowed boat and did our best, but not as good as Terry Curtis another of our long standing now getting old Friends. Terry as you might know won the Nationals.
I would like to share with you a photo of my very special prize. It was awarded to a welcome return of and old man.
What a lovely fitting end to my Osprey days. Maureen had been class secretary on two occasions and the class has been very close to both of us. I am sure we will visit future Nationals now as holiday makers. But never say Never.

Nice to hear you both had fun Ken. Never sailed one but an old acquaintance from Prestwick has one (that was always a five-oh club) and he seems to rate it quite highly.

As you say never, say never but the Nat 18s are having a bit of a resurgence and you could sail one of those with both your boys
