OK Northern Challenge – just to let you all know the arrangements for the combined Windermere/Morecambe Bay Northern Ok Challenge on 28/29 March. Racing will start at 12.30 both days. There will be 2 races at Windermere on Saturday 28th, followed by a social evening (Race Night plus supper) at Morecambe and Heysham YC starting at 8 pm. 3 races on Sunday 29th starting at 12.30 at MHYC. Catering available.

2 completely different sailing challenges – shifty winds on the lake and waves and tides (we hope!) at Morecambe.

Happy to provide overnight accommodation in LAncaster (the drive to Windermere takes about 1 hour plus rigging).

Need to know more or book your berth/place – then ring Keith on 07960 659798/01524 381517 or Darren on 01229 580612/07769696282

I rekon that would certainly get rid of some cobwebbs. I will start negotiating with management

Bugger bugger, Bugger! Thats a month before I come back from Switzerland. What a fantastic idea, I hope its a great weekend and I wish I could also be welcoming you all to this great northern event.

Really sorry I can’t be there for this one but good luck to you, Kieth and Daz, I hope you have a storming week end.

Of course once you are in the northern way of thinking you may like to come up for the “Waterhead” the classic Windermere end to end race. We could make a weekend of that also.

If you had paid your 2009 sub to the OK Association you would have received a list of names and addresses of OK members. Then you would have been able to ring the people who might be going to Windermere.

I can take you if you can get hold of a double trailer. I am going to travel up 1st thing on Saturday morning.

Sorry your e-mail got sent straight to the junk folder and I don’t bother to check it. I have added you to my safe senders list (…against my better judgement? )

      Cheers

      Ooooh Burt you naughty boy!!

Others who attended Silverwing and who are members of the Association are quite within their rights to have you disqualified and wiped from the results if they so wish! I hope your cheque is in the post to Mr Turner, as you may not be allowed to sail this weekend if not.

Just to clarify for those like Richard that may be confused or have forgotten about one of the important rules of the class. To enter any open meeting or championship you must have joined the OK Class Association. It does not cost very much and all you need to do is contact Andy Turner and send him a cheque. Subs are due in January each year.

      Cheers

Hi Richard – top effort on BA, 1st win of many I hope!

I’ve got a double and would offer you a lift but my new boat isn’t ready yet so go to go via Waldringfield to borrow Fish boat…! Thx Fish

But you’re most welcome to borrow my double though location may not help – we’re near Woking/Guildford

      Cheers
      Nick
