Just following on from Ben Steel’s post, can I make an appeal for people to sail with the right sail numbers? It makes a huge difference to sorting out the results: I’ve got an automatic process for posting results on-line but it depends on the sail number being right (and the details on the boats database being up to date). If I have to write the code manually it takes sodding ages, especially as I only type with one finger! Sail numbers cost £1.96 each from Pinnell and Bax http://www.pinbax.com, you can get them mail order straight off their website.
Obviously, if you are borrowing a sail for the day or trying it out or whatever, that’s fine with me, but if it’s going to be your regular sail, please (please, please!) put the right number on it.
