NOTICE OF RACE
1 RULES
1.1) Races will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing.
1.2) The prescriptions of the RYA and West Oxfordshire SC will apply.
1.3) Racing rule(s) 40, 27.1, and A4 will be changed as follows: Flag Y will not be flown, the course will be defined on a course-board and 5 minute late start = DNS. The changes will appear in full in the sailing instructions.
1.4) Buoyancy aids must be worn at all times when on the water and must not be of the self-inflating type.

2 ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY
2.1) The regatta is open to boats of the ok class.
2.2) The following restrictions on the number of boats apply: 50.

3 FEES
Entry fee of £8 per boat

4 SCHEDULE
4.1) Registration
Sunday 15th of august
4.2) Dates of racing
Sunday 15th of August
4.3) The scheduled time of the warning signal for the first start on Sunday is 9.55.
4.4) 3 races on Sunday.

5 SAILING INSTRUCTIONS
The event sailing instructions will be available at the time of entry.

6 THE COURSES
The courses to be sailed will be decided on the day.

7 PRIZES
1st, 2nd and 3rd, highest placed female.

8 DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY
Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See rule 4, Decision to Race. The organizing authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the regatta.

9 INSURANCE
Each participating boat shall be insured with valid third-party liability insurance with a minimum cover of £1,000,000 per event or the equivalent.

I’m planning on bringing my boat up for the Open on Sunday, but just noticed the start time. Is it really 0955am for a one day meeting?

I’ll be there regardless, but that’s an early start!

yes unfortunately the club wont cancel club racing for the event so to get in 3 races its an early start BUT you can camp and the bar will be open and we will get fish and chips on saturday night.
lunch is included both days with the entry aswell
