what is that?

there’s a hull on ebay (in norwich) claiming to be an OK which obviously isnt, or is it. Have a look, is this some experiment in Ok development or some strange modification? There are some OK like lines underneath. Or is it just a crap old boat.

F’kdefino! Could it possibly be a Mark? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_(dinghy)? I’ve never seen one: I know there were a few built in the 60s and I can recall photos, I think: OK-style rig but with the gooseneck MUCH higher off the deck. The Wikipedia articles the only online reference I could find in 30 secs, but ‘Mark’ isn’t a very good search engine term!! Whatever it is, trying to find a rig is going to be a bit of a problem !

Well, crap old boat/unique piece of yachting history? It’s just a matter of opinion, but I don’t really see it as a unique piece of yachting history myself!

Definately a Mark. Very simular rig to the OK. Built and sailed mainly in N.Ireland.
Been a bit of chat about these on the CVRDA forum in the past.

So, any idea why it didn’t take off, Alan? I’m sure it’s not as good as an OK but it’s probably loads better than a solo
