Hi Guys
Um having just spoken to my step dad it seems the trip to Gremany (worlds) is OK with him but he would like to know the overall cost of things and also where people are staying ect.

Things like the fuel costs of previous visits so he has a rough idea.

even if it is just a estimate it would be a great help :?

Its roughly 550 miles from the Hook to Warnemunde, so work out 1100 miles at £4.50 a gallon. It’s a good idea to double up if you can. (If you do 30mpg that’s £165 on fuel.) When I went with Nick his car did about 15 mpg, so it got expensive.

Ferry from Harwich to the Hook is about £250 with trailer (use Tesco clubcard vouchers and get it at 1/4 price). If you travel with Nick, take air freshener.

Entry fee is about £120.

Most people will camp, which I think is free or maybe £5 per night. The club is right next door to a large grassed area which is full of tents and campers for the week. Lots of other accommodation in town, which is just a short walk away. Try and camp away from Nick, as the smell will get you eventually.

Your biggest expense will probably be in pies trying to put on weight to cope with the famous Warnemunde waves and wind…

Thanks for the info Robert. I think my dad is taking me over as he wants to come (which would be nice) for my first time to make sure I am ok ect.

Cheers for mentioning Harwich because i think we were thinking of going all the way down to Dover and going across to France and driving the rest. Which would have wasted a lot of fuel.

I will make sure to leave ahead of nick because otherwise the ferry might be cancelled because of the oder he will leave behind (extensive cleaning) haha :mrgreen:

Yea with the advantage of being so light
oh and a rather tasty shift or two (Not as if I am one to boast about it though) haha

I am lucky that he didn’t see me as much of a threat so he tacked away and as he did I got a nice bit of pressure and a lift, so I took full advantage (as you do). He was always catching me up after that though and luckily the shortened course flag went up so i just managed to stay in front. All the people from the back came home with a nice bit of pressure (hence the solo winning) because when i looked back earlier (at the last mark) they were quite a way behind.
